How to Install Wordpress

Installing wordpress is a pretty simple task even for the average user. First you will want to visit wordpress.org to download the latest version of wordpress. Next you will want to login to your hosting control panel to create a MYSQL database which is what wordpress requires to operate. Once you have created your database you will want to follow the steps below:

1. Upload all wordpress files to your root directory.

2. Edit wp-config-sample.php to fill out the correct information for your database. Once this is completed rename this file to wp-config.php

3. Now open your web browser and go to your website which you uploaded the wordpress files to, fill out the website title and your email address. Make sure to check the box for seach engine indexing, this will ensure all the top search engines crawl your website.

After these steps have been completed click Next which is where you will be given your password to login to your wordpress dashboard. That’s it! It’s a simple task that allows anybody to install wordpress.

Once you get your wordpress installed be sure to add a couple wordpress plugins.
